A dive bar is a type of bar or pub. Dive bars generally have a relaxed and informal atmosphere—they are often referred to by local residents as “neighborhood bars,” where people in the neighborhood gather to drink and socialize. Individual bars may be considered to be disreputable, sinister, or even a detriment to the community:

“A plot to entrap young women for the dives of Northern Wisconsin has been discovered.”

“The dives themselves are nuisances, per se, and that is why they have to pay such high license prices.”

The Shorter Oxford English Dictionary indicates that, in the United States in the 1880s, the term referred to an illegal drinking den or other place of ill repute, especially one located in a basement. However, this usage has since become obsolete. Some people attribute the term to the practice of patrons diving under tables when trouble broke out, particularly gunplay.

Sometimes I feel like I made a really huge mistake that has changed my life forever. My mom tells me that “Everything happens for a reason. If the people you loose touch with were really meant to be with you, you will be reconnected with them somehow.” Isn’t that kinda a really easy answer to a complicated question?

Some go-with-the-flow people say “Whats the point of dwelling on something that has already happened?” My answer is “Then how can we fix our mistakes. If we don’t fix the ‘mistakes’ and just wait for the universe to fix them then what if they never get fixed.” But if the universe never does fix the mistake, were those mistakes really mistakes? Or were they just pebbles that I made into boulders?

On Gilmore Girls, Sooki told Lorelei the story of how two people were really good friends and then fell in love but sadly had to seperate and marry other people. After 40 years, the two people reconnected, saw they were still in love with each other and got married. Lorelei was scared that she would then miss her ‘middle’ relationship period with her then ex’ Luke.

So then if the middle period of a friendship, relationship, family tie is broken, was it really “meant to be?”

I can’t stop stress eating, or as I like to call it streating… or eatressing… or maybe not.

Freshman 15, I am about 3 pounds shy of reaching you. On the plus side, my grandma says that I look a lot better “You got some pinch-able cheeks now honey” (but in Russian).

Damn you stupid society that wants women to be stick thin. Why can’t we go back to the days of my grandma, when chubby women were a sign of health and sexuality. Oh right, because then we would be back in communist Russia…

At least my boob feel a little bigger and my ass has never looked better. It’s that stupid stomach pudge that is bothering me.
